    Description

6x8.5 inches  Softback 192 pages  Printed in England
Can are probably the most influential music group ever to come out of Germany. From 1968 onwards, their unique amalgamation of improvised and ethnic music was way ahead of its time- providing a perfect bridge between pop music and the avant-garde.
Now recording together again as a group after a gap of 11 years, they have continued to be a source of interest and respect amongst the music business and record buying public alike. Often cited as an inspiration by many other musicians, to this day their influence is still far-reaching.
The Can Book contains extensively illustrated biographies of all the group members past and present, along with a complete chronology and discography, as well as up-to-date commentary from the group themselves. The music may defy classification, but Can are certainly worthy of their reputation as one of the primary sources of innovation in pop and experimental music.
