    at the Waldbühne in Berlin [Germany] on Wednesday, 5th September, 2012, presented by Concertbüro Zahlmann. The concert in Berlin was part of the first European leg of Cohen’s World Tour in support of the
    Old Ideas
    album, commencing at the St. Peters Square in Ghent on 12th August and ending at the Pavilhao Atlantico in Lisbon on 7th October, 2012. Cohen’s touring band included bassist Roscoe Beck, violinist Alexandru Bublitchi, drummer Rafael Bernardo Gayol, jazz keyboardist Neil Larsen, acoustic guitarist and oudist Javier Mas, and guitarist Mitch Watkins, as well as background singers Charley Webb and Hattie Webb. Produced by Ed Sanders and Patrick Leonard,
    Old Ideas
    was Cohen’s twelfth studio album, and was released on 31st January, 2012 by Columbia Records. The album received uniformly positive reviews and topped the charts in eleven countries, and was Cohen’s highest ever charting release in the United States, reaching #3 on the
    Billboard
    200. It was listed at #13 on
    Rolling Stone’
    s list of the top 50 albums of 2012, saying “Cohen adapts to this uncharted age with a lifetime’s worth of grace and wit.”
