I am selling this very rare item that belonged to Karen Carpenter for a dear friend, who asked for my assistance with this auction. All questions I receive will be sent directly to her to answer.
The seller was best friends with Evelyn Wallace (secretary to the Carpenters and personal friend of the Carpenter family).  She got to know Karen and the Carpenter family through the years and became a close family friend.
She recently found this item and asked me to put it up for auction:
"While cleaning out my bookshelf recently for charity, I found this book which I had long forgotten. What you have here is an engraved Book of Mormon, Heirloom Edition, that once belonged to my friend Karen Carpenter. The book was sent to Karen in 1973 by a fan.  The letter from the fan, dated Oct 1973, will be included with this auction. Karen later gave the book to Evelyn Wallace, since she was member of the Mormon faith, when she was doing a clean out of her Newville bedroom.  Evelyn passed this special item onto me in the 1990's, knowing that it would be cherished"
The item will be mailed directly from the owners address in Utah.
